About Beauties of the Truth

Beauties of the Truth is a Quarterly publication highlighting Present Truth scriptural topics possibly new to some of the readership, church history, issues relating to Bible translation, and science when it testifies in harmony with scripture. (2 Peter 1:12) The Bible is the revealed word of God focusing on Jesus Christ as “the Ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” (1 Timothy 2:6)

What is the Purpose and Mission of it?

Beauties of the Truth is provided as a service to the Lord’s people to stimulate their appreciation of the riches of God’s Word. The selection of materials is intended to build upon the foundation of Harvest Truth presented to the Wise Virgins during these closing days of this Gospel Age. There is a feast at the table so richly set for us by our Lord himself through his wise and faithful servant. (Matthew 24:45)

Who writes articles in Beauties of the Truth?

All the articles are written by elected elders who are recognized as well-grounded Bible students (“Apt to teach” 1 Timothy 3:2) and nearly all these elders have served beyond their home ecclesia. Some of the articles are adapted from discourses of both active elders and elders who have been separated from us by death.

Who are we?

  • The articles are written by many Christian elders that are associated with Bible Students.

  • The Bible Students are an autonomous, non-denominational Christian fellowship, we are not associated with Jehovah witnesses.

  • This fellowship has no central head, office or central publishing house. It maintains an association through conventions and enjoys a fellowship that is worldwide. Our ministers are not paid. We never pass a collection plate.

  • We base all our teachings on the Bible as it is written and trying to harmonize all scriptures, not following instituted traditions or teachings that are not scriptural.

  • We welcome all to share with us in the study of God’s Word. There is no organization to join and creed to affirm. We encourage and would like to help each other to a personal relationship with God, the Creator of the Universe, who is calling a “people for his name” (Acts 15:14). Our services are as simple as those of the early church. Our congregation benefits from the prayer support of one another and our fellowship is warm and friendly.

What do we believe?

While opposed to adopting formal creeds, or confessions of faith as not being set forth by our Lord Jesus and his Apostles, to us the Scriptures clearly teach . . .

THAT THE CHURCH IS “THE TEMPLE” OF THE LIVING GOD — peculiarly “his workmanship”; that its construction has been in progress throughout the Gospel Age—ever since Christ became the world’s Redeemer and the chief “corner stone” of this temple, through which, when finished, God’s blessings shall come “to all people”, and they find access to him.—I Cor. 3:16,17; Eph. 2:20-22; Gen. 28:14; Gal. 3:29

THAT MEANTIME THE CHISELING, SHAPING AND POLISHING of consecrated believers in Christ’s atonement for sin progresses, and when the last of these “living stones,” “elect and precious,” shall have been made ready, the great Master Workman will bring all together in the first resurrection; and the temple shall be filled with his glory, and be the meeting place between God and men throughout the Millennium.—Rev. 15:5-8

THAT THE BASIS OF HOPE FOR THE CHURCH AND THE WORLD lies in the fact that Jesus Christ, by the grace of God, tasted death for every man, “a ransom for all,” and will be “the true Light which lighted every man that cometh into the world,” “in due time.”—Heb. 2:9; John 1:9; I Tim. 2:5,6

THAT THE HOPE OF THE CHURCH is that she may be like her Lord, “see him as he is,” be a “partaker of the divine nature,” and share his glory as his joint-heir.—I John 3:2; John 17:24; Rom. 8:17; II Pet.1:4

THAT THE PRESENT MISSION OF THE CHURCH is the perfecting of the saints for the future work of service; to develop in herself every grace; to be God’s witness to the world; and to prepare to be the kings and priests in the next age.—Eph. 4:12; Matt. 24:14; Rev. 1:6, 20:6

THAT THE HOPE FOR THE WORLD lies in the blessings of knowledge and opportunity to be brought to all by Christ’s millennial kingdom—the restitution of all that was lost in Adam, to all the willing and obedient, at the hands of their Redeemer and his glorified church—when all the willfully wicked will be destroyed. The earthly blessings of this kingdom “to all the families of the earth” will flow from Israel when it is purged, chastened, and restored to full favor with God.  —Acts 3:19-23; Isaiah 35, Romans 11:7-10, 15
